Question

Bamboo Serene Audio speakers

Mar 22, 2015 9:00AM PDT

I stumbled across http://sereneaudio.com/ and thought these powered speakers looked like what I am hoping to replace my bulky Audioengine A5+ bamboo speakers with.

Is there anybody who has tried these speakers out? All I have found are reviews from professional writers and I'd like to hear something from real owners. They look fantastic and are apparently as good as the Audioengine 5's

I would be pretty shocked if they were...

...in the same league as the Audioengines. My first clue is their goofy shapes, which remind me of what a designer might pick for a 'high end' <ahem> client.

That said, this really isn't the place for such a niche product with relatively few sales. I'd look around at AVS forums to see if anyone has done a side by side.

While it looks like they are engineering and measuring the response curve who said it must be that flat?

Here's why such companies exist:
"The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.
Friedrich Nietzsche"

These will be sought out by folk looking to avoid the usual and will pay for such things.
