Sounds to me like SNL might actually have been funny for a change

The descriptions of the sketches reminded me of the SNL of old, when they were pushing envelopes and "bad taste" could be counted on every week. That show has played it way too safe for years, which is one reason it's become so tedious to watch. I'm kinda sorry I missed this one.

I'm with you on this one Josh. Janet Jackson is tedious mostly, but they played clips of the Cheney/Condi opening on FNC yesterday. She did a pretty good impersonation, and the "headlight" reference had me laughing quite hard. It was just plain funny folks, unlike the "wardrobe malfunction" which was vulgar in context.

You were expecting Masterpiece Theater for some reason? ?

I know, I'm forgetting about all of the children who were harmed by almost seeing a girl's breast in a bra, pixelated, on tv hours after any responsible bedtime.

The horror.

I guess you can tell where this reviewer is coming from.

Our local Chicago guy said SNL was 'Live (Yawn) from N.Y., it's Janet', and called it a 'predictable and labored self-parody'. Janet has quickly become boring as is usually the fate of those who expose themselves.

Re: Bad Taste isnt strong enough for this -- I disagree.

I saw it, and it was SNL satire at its finest -- reminded me of the Golden Days, except probably not over the line enough to compare with (for example) "The First Annual Spider Sabitch Memorial Ski Shoot!"

And Weekend Update was really funny then.

CHEVY: No, no, you don't blow on it, it's just an expression......gotta go.....
