I had no problems outside a CDRW that failed in month 3. A call and there was a new CDRW on my doorstep in 3 days. Not that it matters but they would charge me 50 bucks if I shipped the old drive back in (a message?)

The laptop was used by me for about 4 years then the office supplied a newer model. I gave that one away to a friend and I hear it's still working. May your luck be as good.

Acer, much like other vendors has good hardware support but many today expect stellar software support. I don't care if Acer or other but don't count on that.
