backup copy of Vista

I haven't seen this specific issue addressed anywhere yet.
The very thin paper documentation that came with this machine says that I can make a backup copy of Vista to cd. It doesn't give a clue as to how to do it, nor can I find anything anywhere that talks about how to do this.

When you post you might see these words -> "Note: If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem."

If you can share that then the answer might appear.

Thanks, I ususally do that; this time forot/didn't think it was necessary.
I got a refurb HP a6120n runnig of course Vista.
