Question

Backup battery.....does 12Vdc = 12Vdc = 12Vdc?

Jun 29, 2015 2:59PM PDT

I have a Belkin battery backup and the output is 12Vdc. So....would this be good for all electronics that requires 12Vdc? Or are there other things to consider, like amps and Hz?

Just to confirm

So just to clarify, if using this battery, the electronic device needs to match 12Vdc, AmpHours and Amperes output. Those three? Thanks

No.

I can't condense battery nuances in this small space. But voltage has to be "in range" of the thing you are connecting. As to Amperes output, it must be greater than what the thing needs.

For example your mains (AC) socket usually delivers 15 Amperes but my LED bulb uses about 0.05 Amperes. That is, the thing only uses what it needs.

Answer
DC has no Hertz.

So capacity an AmpHours and Amperes would be checked.
