Backup?

by bmwtony / August 13, 2006 6:20 PM PDT

I am considering installing Ubuntu Linux on one of my laptops, running Windows XP. My computer didn't come with any re-install disk for Windows, but I want to have some kind of assurance that I can restore my system if I somehow screw up during the installation. Is there any way to back up my OS?

You need some software.

Since you have no install CDs, you'll have to look at Acronis or Ghost.

Make a program that will produce backup data, including your cd's for reinstallation. What kind of laptop do you have and have you looked for such a program on your menu?
