Backlight on Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS20 Camera

The backlight on my Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS20 stopped working after I dropped it from a couple feet above the ground. I have still been using the camera to take pictures and I can see the display in certain lighting, so I think the backlight is the only problem. I opened up the camera and the backlight ribbon cable was indeed jolted out, but (even after unlocking it) I couldn't get the ribbon cable back in the connector. Any suggestions on how to fix it would be appreciated!
