backing up personal files to CD-RW on Window VISTA Home Basi

Jul 19, 2010 1:02PM PDT

I've been trying to run the backup and restore program to back up my personal files on my computer without any luck at all. I'm using a CD-RW....is that the problem? When I put the CD in and start the process it seems to go okay for awhile. Then it stops and says the backup failed since I ran out of room. So I immediately put in a new CD-RW but it doesn't resume backing up files. Any ideas?

The usual backup programs do not support

Changing the media as it fills.

What you can do is to organize your files into folders that have no more than 700MB (just under 1 CD?) and then backup each folder.

Another thing ....

.... if you use CD-RW, you may find that you lose your backups if you change computers.
