Question

backing up existing documents

Jun 21, 2018 8:51AM PDT

I have a pirated version of Windows 7 as installed on my upgraded PC by the computer shop in Thailand. I thought it was genuine. Not. I want to purchase a genuine Windows 10 download. Do I need to back up all my documents to an external hard drive before removing Windows 7 fake and installing Windows 10 Home - genuine? Tnx, Busqueezo

Backup what you can't lose.

Before it's lost. This can't be overstated. This means now.

How? Copy your stuff to drives, disks, web where they won't be deleted by accident when you correct your Windows install.

Answer
Yes.

In fact, you eventually learn that backup was never optional. Now's a good time to start keeping copies of what you can not lose.
