Question

Backing up 2 ext hard drives

by smeurett / September 13, 2012 5:56 AM PDT

I ran out of room on my 500g iMac-so I plan to move my aperture library to a 1.5T external drive. I have a second 1.5 T drive that I want to use to back up the library drive AND the imac using Time machine. How do I connect everything and set up time machine to back up the mac and ex. drive?

Thanks

Open preferences > Options and make sure that the Aperture 1.5TB drive is NOT in the list of excluded drives

Should do it for you

That easy?

Thanks for the tip-didn't realize it could be that easy. WIll give it a try. I didn't mean to post 3 times-the dialog box kept telling me "there is something wrong with your post" and I didn't realize they were up. Thanks again!

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
