background with low quality, why?

Sudently my background image has loose colors and quality, i've changed it to several pictures and hapends with all of them, my screen configuration is 1024x768 16bit. The same happens on ie.

Please help, thank you.

That's 64 thousand colors and will not render photos well.

i've changed to 32bit colors and the quality is the same, i don't know what happends on my computer but before the images are ok.

Netmeeting used to cause desktops to scale back to less colors and cause posts like yours. Are you running a video chat type program?

i'm using msn messenger with a webcam, can this be the problem?

It's how it can get decent screen sharing. It's by design.
