Backflip upgrade to 2.3

I have found a few websites that show how to (unofficially) upgrade to android 2.3, just wondering if anyone else had tried this, or knew if it would work or not.

If you look at forums on such things.

You find some are unwilling to take the unit back to the cellular carrier if they brick the device.

But let's skip that discussion and ask -> Why do this? There's a few nice things there but is it worth the risk?

Maybe yes

If the only concern was the procedure, then yes. Of course I built my first pc back in 1995, after having to pull windows out of the trash can on the pc at work, when the secretary did something. I had watched the tech install windows a few days earlier and so I walked myself back through it. That is just me. I enjoy pushing the envelope.
