Axion-5500 Portable TV or New Doorstep?

by Greye / June 23, 2007 8:49 AM PDT

Recently I bought a small portable Axion 5500 which is a 5" color televsion. The reviews mentioned that it did in fact get fiar reception and I was going to use this for mostly news. However this gets blurry to no reception at all. Now I'm trying to hook this up to a Gamecube or Playstaion.

The side of the tv comes with a headphone jack, audio/video input, and an atn jack. They're all 1/8 jacks though, so our composite a/v cables are useless. I checked the local Bast Buy for a Y-adapter cable but those are only for audio. They do not carry 1/8 single video cables. So I tried hooking up the gamecube using a system switch and an old camcorder cable. I can get sound but no video.

Any suggestions to be able to hook this up to a game system?

Mine works.

I used some 1/8 jack to RCA connections. I bet it was off the audio section at radio shack. I bet some wouldn't try that.

Was it some aduio y-adapter cable?

Hm, but if you're saying you got the damn thing to work, thanks. I'll try it.
