AVI Skip 20 seconds ahead/20 back on Samsung WiseLink DLNA

Dec 5, 2008 11:21PM PST

I've been having troubles trying to get the 20 second skip ahead or 20 second skip back working when steaming AVIs from my computer, or just when the AVI is on the USB stick.

The manual says to press the > or < keys when playing an AVI, but it simply doesn't work. I have also tried using the >> and << keys with no luck as well. I can pause and start the AVI without troubles, just forwarding and reversing do not work.

I have updated to the latest firmware.

Any ideas?

May be issues...

Other users have reported some trouble with that as well.

I'll check Monday to see if anyone in the office has heard of that.

Great thanks. Right now this is the only problem nagging me about the TV Happy

An update:

The TV was purchased and is in Canada (Future Shop.)

In the manual there is a picture of an AVI playing on page 86, and it shows the options at the bottom of the picture, i.e. "< to rewind 20 secs, > to forward 20 secs." I do not even see the options at the bottom of my screen.

Features
Dec 11, 2008 1:36PM PST

As DNLA is progressing, there are some features that may not be available for specific video and video codecs.

The FF/RW and SKIP features may not be available, depending on the
corresponding content information. If they ARE, there will be an option to do so. If there is none, nothing will appear.
