avi files problem

I have dual core 1.8 ghz processor,1 gb ram,windows xp,i have a avi file that video and audio not synchronised properly,how to match the video and audio properly?,help.is there any software to use?

There are far too many video editors that can adjust the AV sync. But why not try playing it in say VLC PLAYER to see if the video plays proper? Some CODECs (I decline to explain codecs since you can google that) have issues. Try others or ... VLC PLAYER (found with google.)

If you must fix it, go try video editors. I decline to write a tutorial for any but will share that VIRTUAL DUB is free and I have been able to strip off the audio and then reattach it with a given offset to cure a few that were encoded badly.

It's in the manual, on google and in the very first menu. Sadly like asking for help changing your flat tire I need you to at least look for the lug wrench.
