Hi,
I have Window Vista and use AVG free addition. I woke up today with a reboot on the computer (power out?). AVG said it found two viruses and asked if I wanted to contain them. I did, but when I went to run other programs, all file associations were disabled (including Restore). I entered restore safe mode and it didn't work either, so I restored from setup menu going back two weeks ago. After restore, Windows will not start (in regular or safe mode). HP repair could not fix the problem.
The windows boot hangs up on (or after) the AVGIDSEH.SYS file. I have AVG book disk working, but don't know what I'm trying to fix. Any help would be appreciated.
