Question

Avgidseh.sys problem here too!

Aug 20, 2011 4:14PM PDT

Hello, I have read the thread regarding the AVG rescue CD and have tried using midnight commander in order to rename the avg files, however when i go into /mnt and the corresponding /sda folders, I do not see any files at all. I do recall while booting the rescue CD that it was unable to detect any volumes.

My hard drive is definitely working since trying to boot into windows safe mode gives me the avgidseh.sys error.

Thank you in advance.

AVG Staff,

I have this problem also. My pc cannot boot in normal mode, safe mode, safe with internet. It aways hangs during boot up. I tried to restore to 2 earlier restore points with the same problem. I renamed all the .sys files and still Windows (vista) would hang on reboot. I renamed the AVG directory and then I was able to boot the computer and run. Do you have an idea what is going on?

Hello PLB31,

Did you receive the same message about AVGIDSEH.sys as other users here?
What message did you receive when you renamed all AVG drivers?

Please try to run AVG remover to delete all traces of previous AVG installation and then check your hard drive for errors.

Afterwards, try to install AVG 2012.

Thank you
