Resolved Question

AVGIDSAgent.exe using excessive cpu

Sep 1, 2011 8:19PM PDT

I'm using AVG version 10.0.1392 on a Sony Model PCG-7D1M with 2gb memory running Windows XP service pack 3. AVGIDSAgent.exe is continuously using cpu bouncing between 0 and up to 92%. Surely it shouldn't do that? I've just done a complete scan to make sure that was up to date as it was showing last scan done in April, however no difference.
Any ideas out there?

Intruding here and the AVG Representative may want to say more, but have a look at this previous forum discussion;

It seems this is is an Identity Protection component in AVG and can be disabled.

Hope that helps.
