AVG TOP 5 weekly issues - January 20, 2012

** Strange AVG file names **

Several users were confused by strangely named AVG files, mostly the "roc_roc_dec12.exe" file lately. If unsure about a certain file, we recommend checking its digital signature as follows:
- Right-click the respective file and select Properties from the context menu.
- Switch to the Digital Signatures tab.
- Verify that the file is signed by trusted authority as seen on this screenshot.
If unsure about an unsigned suspicious file, please send it to our virus specialists for analysis as described in this AVG Forums post or contact AVG Technical support.

** Product feedback wanted **

AVG users sometimes do post product enhancement proposals at AVG Forums. We invite you to post product feedback directly to product management using this web form. We value all user feedback and implement the most wanted features in our following product versions whenever possible.

** AVG 2012 SP1 beta released! **

We would like to invite you to AVG 2012 Service Pack 1 beta testing. In case you would like to cooperate with us, kindly join AVG beta program. Please bear in mind that even though it has been basically tested, AVG 2012 beta version is not a final product yet, so some features may not be fully functional and the application may exhibit unexpected behavior.
Should encounter any bugs, please report them using the Beta web portal.

** AVG LinkScanner for Mac program update **

Please be informed the AVG LinkScanner for Mac program update 1802 has been released during this week. Mozilla Firefox 9 support has been implemented amongst other fixes and improvements. After the AVG LinkScanner for Mac is updated, you may need to re-enable the AVG LinkScanner add-on in your Firefox if disabled previously.

** AVG official resellers **

We are being contacted by users who purchased cracked version of AVG products from suspicious source at AVG Forums sometimes. We recommend purchasing AVG products either from official AVG e-shop or from official resellers. Official AVG resellers can be found on this web page.
If you wish to prolong your license period validity or upgrade your AVG product, please visit this web page.
