Resolved Question

AVG's email "stamp"

Nov 13, 2011 3:55AM PST

This is a minor issue but one I've wondered about for some time.

At the bottom of each received email there is a "stamp" (what is it's correct term?) as shown below:

No virus found in this
message.Checked by AVG - www.avg.comVersion: 2012.0.1869 / Virus
Database: 2092/4614 - Release Date: 11/13/11

It's nice to know AVG is checking my incoming mail but ... is there any way to configure AVG to _not_ "stamp" all my mail?

Clarification Request
AVG Email Certification
Feb 24, 2012 6:06AM PST

I have just re-downloaded and installed free AVG 2012.

On checking my sent email as well as incoming, I note that the certification message is missing.

How do I get it back?

I have asked this question previously and recd. a FAQ.

However I cannot find where I can check the 'personal email scanner' option in this version.

TYIA.

AVG Email Certification
Feb 26, 2012 9:02AM PST

Hello Ondrej, Followed your instructions and found the FAQ which gave me a link to the software I needed to change the Email certification.

I note that it automatically defaults to Microsoft Outlook, but this has been changed and a test email proves that I am OK.

Thank you for your help.
