Hello Spark1e,
All of the listed files are safe to be deleted.
If you find that PC tuneup did any unwanted changes, you can always choose to revert them.
Thank you
I have AVG Internet Security on my windows xp sp2 laptop. I love it, so since my computer was a little slow I ran PC Analyzer which told me I had over 900 errors and to download free AVG PC Tuneup 2011, which I did. It corrected all the registry and other errors, so I printed the PDF directions and proceeded to go through all the steps to increase performance.
Right now I'm on AVG Disk Cleaner Tool (Disk Maintenance section - clicked on Cleanup link to get there). This section is supposed to scan for junk files. The result of the scan are the JUNK FILES (catagory -application logs) listed below (sorry I don't know how to copy them so have to type them individually):
C:\WINDOWS\Debug\oakle.log.sav
C:\WINDOWS\Debug\Setup/Backup\IE7_Backup.bak
C:\WINDOWS\Debug\mrt.log
C:\WINDOWS\Debug\mrteng.log
C:\WINDOWS\Debug\Setup\Backup\INTPPM_Backup...
C:\WINDOWS\Debug\Setup\UpdSh.bak
C:\WINDOWS\Debug\Setup\UpdSh.log
C:\WINDOWS\0.log
C:\WINDOWS\comsetup.log
C:\WINDOWS\FaxSetup.log
C:\WINDOWS\iis6.log
C:\WINDOWS\imsims.log
C:\WINDOWS\msgsocm.log
C:\WINDOWS\ntdtcsetup.log
C:\WINDOWS\ocgen.log
C:\WINDOWS\ocmsn.log
C:\WINDOWS\setupact.log
C:\WINDOWS\setupapi.log
C:\WINDOWS\setuperr.log
C:\WINDOWS\tsoc.log
C:\WINDOWS\updspapi.log
C:\WINDOWS\system32\wbem\Logs/FrameWork.log
C:\WINDOWS\system32\wbem\Logs/wbemcore.log
C:\WINDOWS\system32\wbem/Logs/wbemess.log
C:\WINDOWS/system32\wbem/Logs/wbemprox.log
C:\WINDOWS/system32\wbem/Logs/wmiprov.log
I tried to google each line but still have no clue what they are. SHOULD I JUST TRUST "AVG PC TUNEUP" and delete???? If not how do I choose which ones to delete???
Thanks again for your help, you all ROCK!!!!
