Question

AVG not a valid Win32 application in Windows 7

Sep 2, 2011 2:28AM PDT

AVG Internet Security 2012 - Just purchased a 2 yr license for 2 computers because my current license is expiring. Upgrading from AVG Internet Security 9.0.901. The .exe file is in my download folder. When I click to run it, I get an error stating "[file name] is not a valid Win32 application."

I'm running Windows 7.

from Facebook or one of the other social networking sites, don't worry. The CNET servers take a short while to obtain the login details from those other servers.

It will update in due course.

Hello OhPossum,

Please try to re-download the installation file or try to download full installation package.

Should the issue persist after re-downloading, please download the package on another computer and move it to yours via USB drive.

Thank you
