Mar 27, 2012 3:54AM PDT

In AVG Top 5 weekly issues Mar 23rd 2012 JiriF says that the link scanner will be fixed with the following cumulative update? today is the 27th and it's still not fixed (not on my Firefox anyway) My AVG is up to date and Firefox is up to date My question is will it be compatible before the next Firefox update in a couple of weeks?

Hello AFQR2009,

Please be informed that mentioned cumulative program update was released on 26th on CNET and on 27th globally, but it is currently available only for random group of users. Eventually, the program update is released without limitations after a couple of days. This mechanism allows us to reduce the load of our update servers and is common for distributing non-critical updates by software vendors.
Please note that AVG virus database updates are distributed to all AVG users at once, as they are critical for system security.

If you don't want to wait, just launch latest AVG installation file (Free, Pro) and run repair installation.

Thank you

Hello AFQR2009,

Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconveniences caused by this re-occurring issues.

Our release plans (to release compatible version with Mozilla Firefox 11 two weeks before its release; and to release compatible version with Mozilla Firefox 12 three weeks before its release) were unfortunately delayed because of additional discussions and verification of new features and related functions.
We do our best to manage (minimize) the delay and to avoid similar issues in future.

Thank you
