Else the update log points to successful updates at 3/3/2010. Is any actual file (from the restart during AVG installation) in folder C:\Windows\minidump ?
If so, please send it with your answer to AVG technical support.
I've had trouble with my WinXP for the last 2 weeks and now reading these threads I know the $200+ I spent on technical repairs was totally wasted.
Have run the diagnostic test 2x today and waiting for a response from AVG customer support. Was much happier with version 8.5, and with AVG free.
