AVG Free cannot finish download

While downloading AVG Free, I was told to delete Kasparian. I did so and am now unable to finish or restart download of AVG Free. Message reads:
cannot download ree_stb_all_9_115_cnet.exe from software-files-1.cnet.com. The connection to the server was reset.
I cannot locate AVG to delete and start over. Am stuck. Can anybody help?

Tip. Download the file to your Desktop, and don't 'download and run'. When the download is completed, double click the file on the Desktop to begin the installation.
