by lovexlindsey / November 6, 2010 7:43 AM PDT

And error pops up right before the set up saying,

Severity: Error
Error code: 0xE0010015
Item of that name doesn't exist in actualy section.
The initialization of the online contact addresses failed.
Innitialization of the AVG Online Installer

And then from there, it won't do anything. It just has an exit button.

Hello lovexlindsey,

could you please confirm that your downloaded full installation file is named avg_free_x86_all_2011_1153a3218.exe or avg_free_x64_all_2011_1153a3218.exe (depends on version of operating system), else please use the correct full installation file (second or third link from provided website).

Please provide us with AVG installation files to check this unpleasant situation.

Thank you

I tried downloading all three of the files but, none of them worked either. The same message error poped up. I also tried downloading the free trials but the same error poped up once again. I tried following the procedures in the link your provided me with but I couldn't figure it out because I didn't have the files.

Hello lovexlindsey,

Please use latest version of AVG remover (build 1165), then remove all remained AVG folders* (if exist):

C:\Program files\AVG or C:\Program files(x86)\AVG (depends on used operating system)
C:\ProgramData\MFAdata

C:\ProgramData\AVG8
C:\ProgramData\AVG9
C:\ProgramData\AVG10
C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\AVG8
C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\AVG9
C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\AVG10

Then check the AVG installation again. What is the current situation?

Thank you

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
