AVG Free

by dawillie / September 17, 2009 9:58 AM PDT

Running AVG Free 8.5.409.

AVG 8.5.412 became available on 07 Sept. 09 and I believe that was for paid subscribers first as traditionally us free users have access to it a week later.

Today I noted that AVG 8.5.416 is now available presumably for paid subscribers first.

My concern is that I am now two versions behind.

I note that the file is a *.bin file.

Can someone help with how to extract and where this should be installed?

TYIA.

David

avg free program updates release

The Free program updates are not linked with the PRO. This means, that AVG Pro may be higher version in some point, where AVG Free is lower version.

But don't worry, we still aim to ensure best protection and latest updates are provided in the soonest possible timeframe, which is usually days ;).

Today 06 October 09, AVG FRee version 8.5.420 became available.

However, the information on the website

http://free.avg.com/ww-en/homepage

is hopelessly inaccurate.

Can this be fixed?

New website design has just been launched and it might have been resulting in temporary errors, which should be fixed by now.

Can you please re-check?

Thanks.

Meet the drop-resistant Moto Z2 Force

The Moto Z2 Force is really thin, with a fast processor and great battery life. It can survive drops without shattering.
