AVG automatic scan

I have free AVG installed on my computer. How would I know whether my free AVG is set for automatic scan or not? Thank you. user470

To Dusan: Thank you for your message. I set it for automatic scan at a certain day and time. My question is this: Do I have to keep the computer turned on for about two or three hours after the set time? What would happen if I turned the computer off 10 minutes after the set time? Would the scanning continue when I turned the computer on again later? Thank you. user470

Computer shutdown during scan

In reply to: To Dusan

If you shut down your computer during AVG scan, it will be terminated and will not resume.

Another scheduled scan will be run not sooner than scheduled.

I would suggest to set your computer for weekly scanning as I find it sufficient for common user level security.
