AVG Antispyware

by den65 / May 27, 2007 1:52 AM PDT

Quite often when I scan my AVG Antispyware, my System resources is fully taxed and the RAM usage goes up to 100%. And when that happens, my system literally slows down to more than snail pace, everything takes ages to access. Only with AVG, no problems with Spyware Terminator or my AVG Antivirus Free. Any idea???

I'm not using Ad-Aware. My security softwares are AVG AV(Free), Spyware Terminator(without the clam AV), Zone Alarm Free and Spyware Blaster. My AVG Antispyware's active shield is not activated, only use it for on demand scanning.

Thanks, I'll try the website you gave

Just found that I don't have to scan it, just opening the app and manually updating it shoots the RAM usage to 100% and it doesn't go down at all. Have to do a reboot for things to be normal again
