Some time after notification of possible update from CNET service, belatedly received update info from AVG. I think AVG should notify their own customers first ?
Have updated to 2011 Anti Virus Free, and wish I hadn't ! Update process took ages, p.c. greatly slowed down, warnings such as Firewall switched off. Endless sales messages inviting to update again to paid product. Today, on start up, had message "Cannot Detect Operating System" - not a great start.
Disastrous, over-complicated product. Seems just a glorified sales platform, yet again. Frantically switching off as many features as I can, to restore sanity.
Do they not test first ?
