AVG 2012 will not open

Sep 21, 2011 12:48PM PDT

Today i downloaded the free copy of AVG 2012 . Everything seems OK.
After rebooting I tried to open AVG and a message is coming that due to the restrictions on the computer, AVG will not open. and I should call the administrator.

I have a Dell topdesk, Windows XP, broadband connection with Comcast and the browser is AOL.
Who is the administrator and why is this block happening?
Thak you for the help

Hi,

I'm having a similar problem on my Dell laptop Win XP. When I double click the icon on the taskbar or the desktop nothing happens. I can right click the icon on taskbar ok, but it will not open. Sometimes on rightclick a blank menu will appear. very strange. hope you can shed some light.

Thanks for help.

No luck I'm afraid.

Registry was OK and Rescue CD was clean.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Still no luck.

Side note: I tried installing Iolo reg cleaner but that installer won't open :S. Got Tuneup utilities trail n that installed but does not open either like avg. very strange. Did a reg clean but that didn't seem to help.
