Resolved Question

AVG 2012 free can't install from web link

Oct 24, 2011 4:22AM PDT

After d/l'ing the avg install setup pgm. it tries to get the rest on the AVG free as required. But, because I have dial-up it takes so long it bombs every time. no matter what time of the day. It gets close but it never finishes or if it does, it says it corrupted. Plus, I can't get the FULL version to install rather than using the installer method. Also, it causes the 2011 free version to keep posting it wants to be upgraded, but alas as explained it can't at least to the 2012 version It does update itself for the latest protection strings. As far as I can see using your download web link, no direct route to the full version. So, if I can't correct this, I'll dump AVG free.

The link you provided wasn't the typical download page that I had previously try to d/l from. I'm currently d/l'ing from a hi-speed network, though not my home system. I will xfer to my home when completed. -----Willy Happy
