AVG 2011

I recently downloaded the free version of AVG 2011 (Oct1). Ever since, I cannot navigate a site I visited on a daily basis. ( I can reach my home page but cannot access any other page on the site. No problem navigating any other site--so far anyway.

I have a Gateway laptop MT 3075(model)
Windows Vista (operating system)
Here is what I have done so far:
1)System restore--same problem persisted
2.)undid the system restore.
3.)Uninstalled and reinstalled the AVG free 2011
4.) updated ActiveX, checked to assure the "active scripting" is enabled, cookies are enabled (first and third party)
5.)I cleaned the cache. Defragmented the computer as well

... not really computer savvy, so not sure what else I can do.

The problem seems to have occurred after downloading the new Avg because I can access all pages of ( site on my other computer.(which still has the 9.0 version of AVG)

Help this girl out???

Disabling the link scanner did the trick. I never would have thought of that. Thank you for the great advice! (doing a happy dance off the forum...)
