Fish, your question is unclear to me. Can you explain a little what you are wanting to do?

Thank,

Mark and Glen forget my question please.Sad I drank a cup of coffee and came to my senses.lol
I had to disable AVG so I could download and install
SP1 to a friends computer as per Windows Update instructions but I had a brain freez and didn't remember how to disable. The coffee did it for me.I did it using ctrl shift esc end process. Thanks for the reply.

Your way of shutting down is as good as any but another way is to right click the AVG Icon in the lower right system tray and select "Shut down AVG Control Center".

Glad to see you are doing very well and coming right along with this project.

Happy Computing!

It just shuts down the control center. The anti-virus stays on. If you don't beleive me shut it down and ctrl alt delete and check the task manager for avgserv.exe.
