Avast says I have a Trojan Horse but Can't Move it to Chest

by rightor1 / April 2, 2009 1:24 PM PDT

Win32:Monkif-G [Trj]

I have Windows XP, Avast identified this Trojan Horse but when I tried to move it to the chest, it said it couldn't be done because the file is in use by another process.

Recently I lost my helper.dll file which could be moved to chest, don't know if it is related or not.

I attempted to research this one on google and at Avast but there isn't much available on it except that it is a "downloader." What to do? Thank you in advance

Can you delete the file. If NOT then try starting the computer in the safe mode, press F8 and run a full scan there. If should be able to delete the file then.
