Avast On-Access Scanning

Jun 26, 2007 10:35PM PDT

I recently installed Avast. I have Windows Vista.
I find the On-Access Scanning Messages that constantly pop up while I am on-line from the system tray really annoying but have not found a way to "hide"them, other than checking "pause provider" which would leave me un-protected I would assume. Is there some way to have it running but not have to see the list of everything being scanned popping up?

What I did..

I just went into the taskbar customization and checked the Avast On-access scanner as "Always Hide". I haven't got any pop-ups at all. Try that.

On Access Scanning

I do not see any place to check "hide" anywhere when I look in my Avast program. I have 6 running providers in it and each one has a customize button but none have the option of "always hide" anywhere.
Maybe I am missing something. Where is the task-bar that you refer to seen or located?
I am talking specifically about the Avast On Access Scanner popping up a list of everything or page that is currently being scanned while I am on-line. The list keeps popping up from the left side bottom of the screen.
Can you help a little more?
Thanks,
Ksue
