they had numerous complaints about charges from Avast's customer service company. And if you do some web searches you will find many many complaints similar to yours....
My experience with their customer service has been horrendous
I have made several request for refunds of their overcharging my credit card and promised it would be done in no more than ten days. They charged me $54.11 for their antivirus of which I ordered. Then on the same day on my card charged me $81.18. This was on 3/29, finally on 4/8 I got a reply after several emails that they would refund the $81.18 no longer than 10 days. Today is 4/23 and still no refund. Needless to say I am up set and threatened them that I would post on software sites of their rip off. If you get their antivirus, be sure to check your credit cards with their multi billing. I will never ever use any of their programs again.
