Avast is back

Note for Marianna -- remember my long thread recently where you helped me determine that a dialer that Avast found in a scan was probably a false positive? Well, after that ordeal, I uninstalled Avast and went back to AVG. That was a trip(LOL)-- I never could get it to update right for me. It did show me clean in a scan though.

However, this evening, I uninstalled AVG and went back to Avast as I really really did like it. I did a new installation; ran a complete computer scan and guess what -- no dialer, no viruses, no spyware -- YEAH! Don't know what happened to that dialer, but sounds like it might have been an FP afterall.

Anyway, I really appreciate your helping me through that and hope it's a long while before I run into something like that again (LOL).

Well, IF Avast works better for you - go for it

I still stay with what I wrote you... False Positive...... there was nothing wrong with your computer

Fingers crossed, everything will go WELL with Avast and your computer
