Question

Avast dropbox

Mar 31, 2014 10:45PM PDT

I opened my computer this morning,I have windows 7.There was a box from Avast saying to continue with my update. I did not know I had started that ,but I hit continue and it installed a dropbox. is this something Avast is doing?
Is it safe? I have not gone any further with signing in to the dropbox.

Cloud storage site

Dropbox is a cloud storage website, much like Skybox that MS offers, cloud storage. If you need a freebie or at least try the service then 2gb is what Dropbox offers, if I recall right. During the Avast update you had the option to [X] uncheck the box, but it appears you didn't. You can still remove it under the add/remove feature of win7 in the control panel area. If not post back.
