I was wondering if anybody has a diagram to make an AV to USB converter, I know the quality wouldn't be the best, but I have an old camera, that has no way to hook up to a computer. I just need where the wires hook from the AV to the usb and line in plugs.

There is no such diagram because...

it is not a straight wires-to-wires connection. An adapter/capturing device is needed for the connection. There are adapter cards that can be install in the computer that do this as well (not through the USB).

You're not getting it - the AV is ANALOG, the USB is DIGITAL. to use a USB cord for capture, you'll first have to convert your ANALOG video into DIGITAL. You can't just tape 2 cord ends together and have it work. You're gonna have to SPEND MONEY. And if you're gonna get involved with video editing, you need to be prepared to spend A LOT OF MONEY.

Maybe you could feed your AV onto a tape in a combo VCR / DVD recorder, burn a DVD from that tape, and use the DVD-R from that to transfer the video to your computer.
