While there are free CRMs out there most will explode over the setup and getting the network and more flying. A spreadsheet is a poor excuse for this application.
If lost, get a consultant to start the work.

I need a system for a repair garage where you can enter a registration plate and the cars details within the garage will be returned i.e. "awaiting collection" "under repair" "paint" etc.
Is this a CRM system? That's what I've been told I need. Or does anyone know of any other systems that would suit this need?
Is there any free software for this or can this be done on a spreadsheet?
I'm a bit lost here, Any help will be appreciated,
