Automatic Updates...

Hi everyone, recently I had my computer become infected and it disabled a great amount. I have been managing to fix one thing after another with some exploring but... My Automatic Updates from the security center cant be turned on. I cant say they were on before the attack but it seems to keep giving me this small icon in the bottom right corner saying that your computer isn't protected, also I have this message right next to my clock "VIRUS ALERT!" I am pretty sure I have gotten the virus off with Spybot, AVG, and Windows Defender.
I have followed links to the Microsoft Website and followed the directions to fix it step by step but the services.msc doesn't let me play the Automatic Updater not matter what setting.
I appreciate any help and if you need anymore information don't hesitate to ask

Just checking.

1. You ran SFC /SCANNOW
2. You re-registered quite a few DLLs (tell which.)

Unsure

I'm unaware of either if I did.
I cant say I have ever used /SCANNOW
So probably re-registered DLLs anyway of fixing this?

Then do the usual SFC /SCANNOW

In reply to: Unsure

Hint? Google that if you must to save some bits.

Ok I scanned

In reply to: Then do the usual SFC /SCANNOW

Used the command and part way into the scan it asked for the first Windows XP proffessional disc so I went and got the disc and that worked well. But now I have another issue when it reached another point it asked for the second Windows Xp Proff disc now, I dont recall ever getting a second disc for Windows. Is there a way around this?
Thank you for the help btw

Sorry.

But what is that message? I'm going to tell you that I think I know what it is and the answer is on google.com

-> But here's the issue. You claim you did a lot of things but the two items I asked about are the usuals. The other site you used seems to have skipped the usuals.

Anyhow, type that new message into google to find the usual answers.
