automatic startup AFTER completion of boot-up

I need to have ZoneAlarm not start at boot-up, but start automatically after boot completion.. barbo

Win Xp home edition, H-P Pavillion 512C, 256mb, 40g dr.

For some reason that I have not been able to find an answer to, Zone Alarm Pro if loaded at startup/boot, screws up the printer drivers for my H-P printer. If I remove it from the startup list, then execute it after the boot is completed, everything works o.k. The only thing is that I sometimes forget to execute it and get on line sometimes for a goodly time before I remember. Not good. Barbo

Look into the printer issue, but no model number to narrow it down.

Zone Alarm might be a "SERVICE" you can set to MANUAL in Services.MSC, and then you could start it in your startup group with the NET START command. Just above beginer skill level, and its a "batch file."

Zone Alarm is interefering with the drivers of your HP printer. Check the option to prevent Zone Alarm from installing during the boot process (allowing HP printer drivers to install first). Now put a shortcut link to Zone Alarm in your startup folder according to the intructions here:
