Automatic page refresher/recorder with time stamp?

Aug 29, 2010 12:47AM PDT

Is there such a thing or combination of things?

I want snapshots of a particular web page that would show all changes since last time page was refreshed. Perhaps refresh and take a snapshot as often as every minute over a time period of as much as 12 hours. Must have a time stamp too.

The page I want to monitor is not an auction site that will email me every time there is a change.

One option is to use a browser extension, such as UpdateScanner for FireFox. Such tools are typically free and keep it simple as they need not replicate your browser's functionality. However, you can also explore dedicated applications, such as Website Watcher, which typically offer a little more functionality but with an added cost factor.

Hope this helps,
John
