"A blue screen with some error written on it".

That doesn't tell much. If your OS was Windows XP or Windows Vista I could have told you how to disable automatic restart after a blue screen (so you would have time to copy the details to paper and post them here) and I would have been able to tell you how to use Event Viewer to find out what Windows tells about the event.
But since you're running an experimental OS (the Windows 7 beta) you probably will have to find out yourself.

The only thing I can think of: heat. Physically clean the vents. Then try it in an environment that is at least 10 degrees (Celsius) cooler than the current environment and be sure it's placed on a solid flat interface (a desk or table), not on your lap or some soft underground.

Win 7 Beta
Jul 3, 2009 3:24AM PDT

Microsoft: "The Beta expires on August 1, 2009, and bi-hourly shutdowns will begin July 1, 2009"

The fix: backup your stuff and install an another OS...

OR D/L the Win 7 RC which will expire June 1, 2010 (bi-hourly shutdowns from March 1, 2010)

PS. there are methods to disable the expiration.
(as per the Forum policies, I will not provide the how to)
