Correction to the 1st paragraph, I guess I don't know if the computer is entering sleep mode because I'm not prompted with the user select screen.
My computer is, by default settings, set to sleep in 30 minutes. It does, but the computer continues to run. So the computer does go into sleep mode, but not S3 sleep. In fact, when I shake my mouse, it just wakes the screen, don't even have to login.
Now, when I actually click sleep in the start menu, the computer does enter S3 sleep and turns off the computer, like it should. I shake my mouse or press a key and the computer turns back on, showing me the user select screen. This is how it should be.
I have no programs running and 3 icons in my taskbar normally (Microsoft Antivirus, Realtek Audio, Eject Hardware).
The only devices that can wake my computer are the mouse, keyboard, and ethernet (no cable connected).
So, if I can manually make my computer enter S3 sleep, why isn't the 30 minute sleep working?
