Did you ever manage to resolve this? Spoken to Samsung who really were rubbish.
I've brought two B2330 monitors, which I am using with two separate computers (one laptop and one desktop).
The desktop (connected by HDMI) won't auto poweroff the monitor when I shut it down or put it to sleep, requiring a manual poweroff (which one sometimes forgets).
The laptop (connected by VGA) does powerdown the monitor on shutdown or sleep, but if I set the display to turn off after 30 minutes, the monitor stays powered up and just searches for inputs.
I've tried various settings, with no luck.
