Enlighten me, what is an Auto Clicker?

In reply to: auto-clicker

It's not a term I am familiar with. Other than the obvious, what does it do?

There is a bad connection from click fraud to autoclickers.

In reply to: Enlighten me, what is an Auto Clicker?

It's a way to rack up more clicks on banners and such.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Click_fraud writes

"Click fraud occurs in pay per click online advertising when a person, automated script, or computer program imitates a legitimate user of a web browser clicking on an ad, for the purpose of generating a charge per click without having actual interest in the target of the ad's link. Click fraud is the subject of some controversy and increasing litigation due to the advertising networks being a key beneficiary of the fraud whether they like it or not."

As such, I view such requests with suspect.

for the information.

If this is the only use for this thing, would it be worth an autolock?

The user's posts. Since this is their first post, it's too likely it's a person seeking to do click fraud. Members that participate in the forums (greater than 1 post about clickers) are likely to have another reason but I'll PM you since I don't want to help a defrauder.

I play a stupid little online horse game, that involves a lot of repetitive clicking. I have read all the game rules and there is nothing in there about using an auto-clicker. I'm sure that if they become too widely used they will become illegal for game play. sorry for the confusion.

Runescape and such don't allow such.

In reply to: Runescape

If you are caught using such, they kick you out of the game.
