Auslogics Disk Defrag Screen Saver stall and crash

by pintasm / November 10, 2010 10:53 PM PST

I've recently added Auslogics Disk Defrag Screen Saver to my software list, and i have to say i like it very much, but it stalls when it starts analyzing and sometime crashes.
I'm running Windows 7 ultimate x86. I've been looking all over for people who had similar problems and i've also contacted Auslogics about this issue, but i had no response.

Does anyone faces these problems too? Any ideas in how to solve them?

Just don't use it.

Why use a program that stalls, crashes, apparently doesn't come with support and does nothing esssential that isn't be done already by the equivalent program you already have in Windows.
"Liking it very much" might not be sufficient reason.

It might be more efficient in doing things that aren't really necessary to do (at least not as often as you seem to do it: a weekly defrag, that's exceptional), but if it stalls and crashes and has no support I still can't recommend it. I find it really amazing you do.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
