audio/video not matching up right in movies

by saitokokeimei / February 15, 2007 6:26 AM PST

Lately with Windows Media player I have a ton of trouble with movies not matching their audio and video up right. It's not the files because i can play the same file twice, and one time the video will be ahead, and the next the audio will be ahead. I think it does it on lower quality videos but I have the most problem in newer movies that are real high quality. I guess "HD movies" like the halo 3 tv commercial. I try to skip around in it and shut down everything else on my computer but it still does it. And it's choppy. I wouldn't think my computer would have problems with that, it plays everything fine. Even Battlefield 2142, so i just don't see why it wouldn't be able to handle a movie.

Someone showed me this, but I couldn't help. Why?

The video was some pirate copy. I happened to have the DVD and it played just fine on the same machine. What to do?

Just a guess here.

Maybe the software is not able to handle the dolby/dts sound.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
